Krayzie Bone recently updated fans about his health after a medical scare. The 50-year-old rapper was hospitalized for over a week after coughing up blood and undergoing multiple surgeries.

Krayzie Bone, a member of the iconic rap group Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, recently opened up about his health after a medical scare. Sharing the news on his Instagram page, Krayzie posted a picture of himself in a hospital bed, describing the intense battle he fought for his life:

“I only won the battle this time because I know Jehovah God was with me every step of the way,” he said. 

The Ohio native also reminded his followers to cherish life and not take it for granted.

Outpouring Support & Love For Krayzie Bone

Fellow Bone Thugs-N-Harmony member Bizzy Bone expressed his love and support for Krayzie, commenting on the post, “I love you my n*gga.” 

Fans also flooded the comments section, offering words of encouragement and expressing their relief that Krayzie was still with us. One user commented, “Glad you’re still with us stay strong brotha.” 

During his hospitalization, Krayzie Bone’s condition remained serious, leading Bizzy Bone to request prayers from supporters and fans. He also asked for privacy for his family and friends during that difficult time.

In a recent Instagram update, Layzie Bone, a prominent member of the legendary rap group Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, shared a heartfelt message addressing the hospitalization of fellow bandmate, Krayzie Bone. In his message, Layzie Bone asked for privacy while expressing gratitude for the support and well wishes during this challenging time.

Layzie Bone Speaks Out

On September 26, 2023, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony member Layzie Bone took to Instagram to provide an update on the hospitalization of his bandmate. He stated:

“In this challenging moment, as the immediate and Bone thugs family rallies behind my brother, we humbly ask for a moment of privacy. Our family is facing the unexpected hospitalization of Krayzie Bone with strength, and your prayers are a beacon of hope. Soon, we’ll share an update, but for now, let us come together and keep our love and thoughts focused on his recovery. Your support means the world to us, and we truly appreciate your understanding during this time.”

According to reports, Krayzie Bone checked himself into a Los Angeles hospital after coughing up blood. He underwent immediate surgery to address bleeding caused by a leaking artery in one of his lungs. Currently, he is in an induced coma and will undergo a second procedure to deal with internal bleeding, as reported by TMZ.

Battling Sarcoidosis

This is not the first health battle Krayzie Bone has faced. In 2016, he revealed that he was battling sarcoidosis, a condition characterized by the growth of granulomas in various parts of the body, including the lungs and lymph nodes.

In response to Krayzie Bone’s hospitalization, members of the rap community and fans have been sending their well wishes and support on social media. 

One fan expressed hope for his recovery, stating, “I really hope he pulls through! Get well soon Krayzie!” Another fan sent prayers to Krayzie Bone and his family.

Krayzie Bone Hospitalized For Same Condition As Bernie Mac: Understanding Sarcoidosis

Krayzie Bone, member of the legendary rap group Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, is currently hospitalized and fighting for his life. ​​The Cleveland rapper is battling sarcoidosis, the same disease that claimed the life of Bernie Mac, and is currently on a ventilator after undergoing surgery.

What Is Sarcoidosis?

​​Krayzie Bone is presently in the hospital, facing a critical health situation. The rapper has been diagnosed with sarcoidosis, which causes inflammatory cells to form in different parts of the body. Krayzie Bone is also on a ventilator following surgery to address a respiratory issue, resulting in him coughing up blood and requiring immediate medical attention. 

This disease also disproportionately affects African Americans and commonly affects the lungs, lymph nodes, eyes, and skin.

Prayers Up

The news of Krayzie Bone’s hospitalization has sparked a wave of support on social media. 

Fellow Ohio native and NBA superstar LeBron James posting, “🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 to Krayzie man!!!!” and Three 6 Mafia leader Juicy J posted, “Prayers up for Krayzie Bone.” 

Fellow Bone Thugs-N-Harmony rapper Bizzy Bone took to Instagram to ask for prayers. Krayzie Bone’s family has requested privacy during this time, as he remains sedated in an ICU in Los Angeles. 

Other Celebrities Who Suffer/ed From Sarcoidosis

Sarcoidosis is not exclusive to Krayzie Bone; other celebrities have also faced this condition. 

Actress Tisha Campbell, known for her roles in TV shows like Martin and My Wife & Kids, has lived with sarcoidosis for over three decades. Floyd Mayweather Sr., the father of boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr., also suffered lung sarcoidosis. 

Sadly, the late comedian/actor Bernie Mac dealt with the disease for over 25 years before passing away due to complications of pneumonia in 2008. NFL legend Reggie White also lived with lung and cardiac sarcoidosis for many years before he died in 2004.

‘Bone Thugs-N-Harmony Way’

Outside of his career with Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Krayzie Bone has pursued various ventures. He has his own rap label, clothing line, and podcast network.

Bone Thugs-N-Harmony also recently received recognition in their hometown of Cleveland. An intersection was named “Bone Thugs-N-Harmony Way” in honor of the group’s contributions to the music industry.

Lil Durk Cancels Performances Due To Health Scare

While Krayzie Bone battles his health condition, Lil Durk is another rapper who recently faced health issues. In July, the Chicago rapper had to cancel his tour and pull out his Rolling Loud Miami performance due to severe dehydration and exhaustion.
