Renowned Grammy-nominated duo Black Pumas have announced their return with Chronicles of a Diamond – their highly awaited sophomore album set to drop Oct. 27 via ATO Records. To highlight their revival, the duo released a preview of the project, a single titled “More Than a Love Song.”

With an impressive total of seven Grammy Award nominations (including Album Of The Year), singer/songwriter Eric Burton and guitarist/producer Adrian Quesada harness their bombastic chemistry on “More Than a Love Song.” The song was co-written by Burton and Quesada, produced by the latter and co-produced by the former, with additional production by John Congleton.

“’More Than a Love Song’ is a message I borrowed from my Uncle Steve,” said Burton of the song’s lyrical content in a press release. “As a songwriter and caregiver, he’d listen to me write songs from afar and if I were lucky he’d have a pointer or two for me. ‘Life is more than a love song.’”

Chronicles of a Diamond is set to serve as a testament to the duo’s musical journey as whole, bringing forth a unique blend of power, passion, and daring originality that has been taken to an entirely new level. The album–mixed by the six-time Grammy Award winner Shawn Everett (known for his work with Alabama Shakes and The War on Drugs)–is comprised of 10 tracks.

Chronicles of a Diamond is now available for pre-order and can be acquired here. Additionally, a limited Silver Edition (4,000 copies) of the album can be pre-ordered via the ATO shop, along with 100 signed copies.
