Kanye West Texts Elon Musk, Claims Autism Came from 2002 Car Crash

Kanye West is once again making headlines, this time for a series of frantic texts he sent to Elon Musk. In the messages, the rapper opens up about his belief that a 2002 car crash caused him to be autistic. Fans and followers are reacting to Ye’s controversial claims.

The Fallout

Kanye West is back in the spotlight, this time due to a series of frantic texts he sent to Elon Musk.

The text messages from Ye to TESLA CEO, Elon Musk were posted by Ian Connor on his official Instagram account in the early hours of the morning of Oct. 18. For context, it’s important to mention the Yeezy mogul’s history with Elon Musk, where in 2020, the two were previously seen as friends.

Then, in July 2023, Musk granted Kanye access to his Twitter (X) account (formerly known as Twitter) after it was disabled for violating community guidelines. This came after Kanye made fun of Elon on the platform.

‘You Owe Me Nothing’

Connor, who is known to be a part of Kanye’s inner circle, shared the messages with the caption “2:25 a.m.” Interestingly, Ye instructed Ian to make the texts public, to which Ian responded with a simple “Say Less, 2:22 a.m.”

In the texts, Kanye expresses to Elon Musk writing:

“When are we going to speak. You owe me nothing. You never have to speak to me again. But if we do speak. The nature of the relationship has to change. I’m not bi polar. I have signs of autism from my car accident. You can’t watch Kim keep my kids from me. And not say anything publicly and then call yourself my friend so I can bring my audience to your struggling platform.”

The rapper claims that his signs of autism developed as a result of a car accident he was involved in back in 2002. Fans have been quick to react to Kanye’s revelations.

One fan wrote “Using Ian Connor as a platform to speak is insane,” Connor is known for his problematic history, with allegations of him being an accused sexual abuser. Another fan reacted writing, “I love ye but this is off the charts. Autism from a car accident?”
