6ix9ine found himself in handcuffs once again after being arrested in Palm Beach County, Florida, on Aug. 9. The arrest came about due to a traffic violation, resulting in the controversial New York rapper’s failure to appear in court.
6ix9ine Arrested In Florida
According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, deputies conducted traffic enforcement when they witnessed a vehicle commit a moving traffic infraction. They also noticed that it did not have a license plate. The vehicle was subsequently pulled over, and 6ix9ine, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez,
was identified as the driver.
It was then revealed that he had a suspended license and an active traffic warrant for failing to appear in court on July 12. The court date was regarding charges of speeding, lack of proof of insurance, and driving an unregistered vehicle.
More Legal Woes For 6ix9ine
As a result, 6ix9ine was promptly arrested and taken to the county jail. He received traffic citations for the incident, but no additional charges were announced.
He was also released shortly after midnight on Aug. 10. The jail time or consequences for his violation and missed court date have yet to be confirmed.
This recent arrest adds to the rapper’s growing list of legal troubles. However, 6ix9ine’s controversies extend beyond the courtroom. In recent news, he has been sued by tattoo artist Tekashi Matsuba for defamation.
Matsuba alleges that 6ix9ine caused personal turmoil by claiming he was a heroin addict and taking credit for his stage name.
G Herbo Arrested During Traffic Stop
In a similar incident, G Herbo was also arrested during a traffic stop for failure to use a turning signal. The arrest resulted in the discovery of a Glock 33 in the car, leading to a misdemeanor charge of unlawful use of a weapon in public.
