PREVIEW: Red Rooster Festival

PREVIEW: Red Rooster Festival

When: 1st – 3rd June 2023
Where: Euston Hall, Suffolk, England

6,000 people can’t be wrong. Every year they head towards the idyllic setting of Euston Hall, with its 300 acres of historical private gardens and beautiful rolling parkland, and the Red Rooster Festival. And they will all be doing it yet again in a fortnight’s time for what is the ninth annual edition of this fabulous event.

Red Rooster 2023 promises to be yet another wonderful occasion, featuring as it always does some of the very best blues, roots, Americana, and country music that is around today. Headlining this year are the marvellous contemporary blues, rock’n’roll, R&B and soul musician, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram and his fellow countryman Fantastic Negrito, a man whose music has been described as “blues with a punk attitude.”

An incredibly strong supporting bill features His Lordship, returning to Red Rooster after their scintillating performance here two years ago, Take Me To The River All-Stars, featuring some of the most influential figures in Mississippi Delta and New Orleans funk, R&B, soul, and jazz, Chuck Prophet & the Mission Express, Daddy Long Legs, The Nude Party, the consistently brilliant Nicole Atkins plus a whole load more great acts besides.

There is much more to Red Rooster than just great music. At the festival, there is always incredible food and drink on offer courtesy of some of the country’s top and award-winning street food traders. And then there are a host of great activities that will appeal to people of all ages ranging from the ever-popular river swimming and a hot rod car display to a dedicated kids’ area and learning prehistoric survival skills with television’s Will Lord.

Red Rooster remains one of the best value festivals out there at just £129.50 + booking fee for the whole weekend, which includes three nights of camping and free parking. Children 12 years and under are free as always plus there are NEW teen weekend tickets for just £50 + Booking fee.
