NEWS: Peyton releases stunning visuals for ‘Perfect Pitch’

Houston, Texas-born and raised, singer-songwriter Peyton releases the music video off her latest single ‘Perfect Peach’ off her debut Stone Throw Records LP titled ‘PSA’.

Peyton, granddaughter of grammy-nominee composer and arranger Theola Booker, first came onto the scene in 2017 with her single ‘Sweet Honey’, which saw the track aired on HBO’s comedy-drama Insecure. Peyton would go onto releasing her collaboration track ‘Verbs’ with producer and songwriter Steve Lacy, who gained recognition as a member of the Grammy-nominated R&B outfit The Internet. ‘PSA’ is Peyton’s first album release under Stone Throws Records, whose healthy roster consists of pioneers such as J Dilla and Madlib to more current artists such as Los Retros and Benny Sings. ‘PSA’ focuses on themes of self-love and confidence, Peytom describes that “Everything I’m singing feels like my thoughts are pouring out boldly to the world,” the singer and songwriter says.”

‘Perfect Peach’ sees Peyton caress listeners with her soothing R&B-leaning vocal delivery accompanied by phased guitar rhythms sprinkled with funk inspired synths and basslines.

Peyton has a way of instantly making listeners feel at ease with her delicate vocal tone and beachy vibe to her instrumentals. The official music video was directed by Jackie Radinsky, who has previously worked with the likes of rapstar Polo G, Alexander23 and MNDSGN just to name a few. The video has a Motown aesthetic, with Peyton beautifully dressed in a 70s inspired outfit and make-up. The video homes in on the song’s lyrics “I can feel you every lifetime. Wouldn’t that be sweet?” by showing Peyton and a love interest travelling through different eras and still finding the same person. Peyton says: “The overall theme is infinite possibilities in reality and the kismet of still finding true love, no matter where we are in space and time.”
