Today, Philadelphia quintet-Mt. Joy unveiled the first wave of their highly anticipated 2024 tour. The new string of dates includes their debut headlining performance at Madison Square Garden set for Sept. 28, 2024, which was announced early last week.
Matt Quinn (vocals, guitar), Sam Cooper (guitar), Sotiris Eliopoulos (drums), Jackie Miclau (keys, piano), and Michael Byrnes (bass) will begin the new year down in Cancun at Out of the Blue Festival on Jan. 7-8. Following the seaside kick-off, the band is set to open for Noah Kahan at Fenway Park and for Zach Bryan at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum as part of their extensive tour. Between the two dates, they’ll begin performing at arena-sized venues at Toronto’s Budweiser Stage.
Throughout the summer they’ll continue to perform around the country with dates scheduled in Columbia, Md., Minneapolis, Morrison, Colo., Salt Lake City, Austin, Texas, Nashville, Tenn., Alpharetta, Ga., Bend, Ore. and more. The dates released so far will culminate during the aforementioned stand in New York set for Sept. 28. The band hinted at additional dates and cities that will be announced at a later date.
2024’s tour dates follow a year of remarkable success for Mt. Joy, including sold-out shows at iconic venues such as Red Rocks Amphitheatre, the MGM Music Hall at Fenway (twice), and Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, not to mention a slew of incredible festival performances all throughout the summer.
Lead singer Matt Quinn expressed his excitement, stating, “It’s incredible to cross these milestones off the bucket list. I know we will always remember the hard work that got us here – the many rehearsals, shows, shitty loadouts in the snow – always knowing that if we kept going, we could be one of the best bands in the world. We’re a pretty humble group but we’re excited to be put on these stages where we can go prove, to anyone who doesn’t already know, that we’re one of the best out right now.”
Tickets for all the tour dates are scheduled to go on sale to the general public on Friday, Nov. 10, at 10 a.m. local time. For more information, including pre-sales, visit Mt. Joy’s official website.
