Chicago rapper Vic Mensa did not start his 2022 on the best note. He was arrested at Dulles International Airport, Washington D.C., for alleged possession of illegal psychedelic drugs.

Vic Mensa Arrested With Drugs In Luggage
Mensa landed at Dulles airport on a flight from Ghana at about 7 a.m. Saturday. During a second baggage examination, customs and border protection (CBP) officers said they found a cache of psychedelic drugs in his luggage.
Police said CBP agents found 41 grams of liquid LSD, about 124 grams of psilocybin capsules, 178 grams of psilocybin gummies, and six grams of psilocybin mushrooms in the luggage.
Though psychedelics are gaining mainstream acceptance and were decriminalized in Oakland, California and Denver, Colorado in 2020, the mushroom-based drugs are still illegal throughout the United States.
The rapper has been charged with felony narcotics possession charges and taken into custody by the Metropolitan Washington Airport Authority.
