Snoop Dogg Concert In Houston Leads To 16 Hospitalizations

Snoop Dogg’s recent concert in Houston, Texas, has left 16 concert-goers hospitalized due to heat-related illnesses. The show held at an outdoor venue, occurred amidst scorching temperatures reaching triple digits.

“We Got Your Back, Snoop!”

On Saturday, August 19, Snoop Dogg’s concert held at the Cynthia Woods Pavilions in Houston, Texas, left 16 concertgoers hospitalized due to heat-related illnesses. Thankfully, the 16 adults who were taken to the hospital are now in stable condition.

The Atascocita Fire Department shared on “X,” “Headed to the Woodlands Pavilion to assist with overheated concert attendees at the @SnoopDogg concert.” In a show of support, they also tweeted, “We got your back Snoop!”

This incident is not uncommon, considering the extreme heat during one of the hottest summers on record.

Doggystyle Anniversary

Many social media users expressed their concerns.

One user wrote, “At least if they are going to have an outdoor concert they should provide those giant industrial size shop fans. Anything helps. Or wait till the fall cooler months.” Another Twitter(X)  user questioned, “Why in the world would you schedule an outdoor concert in August?”

Snoop Dogg was originally set to hold his Doggystyle Anniversary concert in collaboration with rap icon and producer Dr. Dre at the end of October. However, the concert was canceled to support the writers on strike, particularly the WGA (Writers Guild of America) and the SAG/AFTRA (Screen Actors Guild / American Federation of Television and Radio Artists) strike.
