Sexxy Red was recently at the center of a tragic incident while filming her latest music video. A nearby fatal shooting occurred, leaving one person dead and another wounded. The wounded individual was immediately taken to the hospital, but their condition remains unknown.

Gunshots On Set

On Thursday, September 14, while Sexxy Red was shooting her music video for her upcoming single “Shake Yo Dreadz” at the Oakland Park Flea Market in Florida, a nearby fatal shooting occurred, leaving one person dead and another wounded. 

Videos posted on Instagram by witnesses present at the scene captured the aftermath of the shooting, showing a victim lying on the ground and people calmly evacuating the area. 

Clearing The Air

Fans believed the shooting occurred directly at the St. Louis native’s music video set, which Sexxy Red explained isn’t “true at all.” 

In response to the incident, the “Skeeyee” rapper took to her Instagram story to send her condolences to the victim’s family and clear the air about the tragic incident, while thanking her team.

The ‘Hood Princess Tour’

In more positive news, Sexxy Red recently announced her first tour, titled the Hood Princess Tour. The tour is set to kick off on October 15 in Boston, Massachusetts, marking a significant milestone in her career as she takes her music to audiences across the country.

Gun Shots Interrupt Lil Baby Concert

Sexxy Red isn’t the only rapper who had to deal with gun violence while on the job. In fact, Lil Baby’s recent concert in Memphis on September 7 was interrupted by gunshots that injured the late Young Dolph’s cousin.
