Nicki Minaj Continues To Reign As “Red Ruby Da Sleeze” Soars To No. 1, DaBrat’s New Styling Collection Sells Out In Minutes & More

This week’s Single Ladies celebrates Nicki Minaj’s chart-topping “Red Ruby Da Sleeze” as it scored No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Rap Songs.  Also stepping into the No. 1, Da Brat’s new hair styling collaboration with Kaleidoscope sold out. Plus new — Chloe Bailey, GloRilla, Lola Brooke, and Love Moor.

“Red Ruby Da Sleeze” No. 1

Nicki Minaj’s “Red Ruby Da Sleeze”  is No. 1 on the Billboard’s Hot Rap Songs. This marks a back-to-back hit for Minaj following her 2022, 11-week No. 1 —  “Super Freaky Girl.”  

The song has also ranked No. 1 on Apple’s music charts, igniting a freestyle challenge among fans.

DaBrat’s Hair Styling Line Sold Out

DaBrat and her wife, Jesseca Dupart, created the KALEIDOSCOPE X DA BRAT Styling Collection. It sold out within six minutes of its release on March 10, offering six new products that are expected to hit big-box retailers and drugstores. 

“We are passionate about bringing our innovative and effective products to everyone who loves protective styles and desires healthy hair,” said Da Brat, who is also expecting a baby with Dupart. “This collection is not just a hair product line, but a representation of our shared commitment to the protective styling community.”

Chole Bailey’s New Album Cover

Revealing the new cover for the upcoming March 31 release in a Twitter post, Chloe Bailey’s In Pieces album cover was inspired by a porcelain doll.  Bailey also noted the doll she remembered from three years ago, like her — “wore her heart on her sleeve.” 

Bailey posed in what appeared to be a  white latex dress giving her a porcelain doll look and dewy shine. On her right hand, she firmly holds on to ‘her heart”  — In Pieces.

“Holding her heart just like this,” Bailey detailed in a lengthy tweet. “From then, I said this will be my album cover. That dame day I also wore my heart on my sleeve. The beginning of a scary and exciting journey for me.” 

The R&B songstress also shared that the era she wore red hair, about a year and a half ago, was the darkest time of her life. 

Chloe also adds In Pieces “Is for the ones behind closed doors are breaking and don’t know how much more they can take.”  

GloRilla’s Moving Units 

GloRilla hit 400,000 units sold for her Anyways, Life’s Great… (Bonus Edition), making the biggest label debut EP by a woman rapper in three years.

The bonus edition includes “Tomorrow 2,”  a duet with Cardi B, including her breakout hit, “F.N.F. (Let’s Go),” which scored her a Grammy nod for “Best Rap Performance.” The Lp also features the Diamond Princess, Trina, with a guest feature on “Nut Quick Remix”  and “Ex’s (Phatnall Remix)”  with Chicago rapper Lil Durk.

Love Moor’s Love Songs

Rising Caribbean-American songstress Love Moor unveiled a six-track EP, LOVE, through Human Re-Sources on March 16. Alongside the project, the eclectic Alternative NeoSoul artist also released a video for her lead single, “Pacifier,” featuring Ghanaian-American artist Moliy know for her  “Sad Girlz Luv Money,” featuring  Kali Uchis and Amaarae.
