Latto Making BIG Money Moves
On October 6, in honor of their homecoming, Latto demonstrated her giving school spirit by donating $35,000 to her former high school, Lovejoy High, in Hampton, GA. The “Big Energy” artist presented the large check to the current homecoming court and captured a moment with the school’s official cheerleading squad.
In addition to her generous monetary donation, the rapper also treated students to Wingstop, a brand she’s partnered with and has her own menu item, “The Latto Meal.” Furthermore, Latto and singer Christina Aguilera recently starred in a creative food ad for Just Eat.
The artist continues to expand her brand with an upcoming collaboration with Starbucks, the “Jackpot Trio,” featuring three new limited drinks for the holidays. The “Latto Latte,” “Jackpot Frappuccino,” and “777 Refresher” are sure to excite her fans with something new to look forward to.
Monaleo With New Projects
The “Beating Down Yo Block” rapper has been making some heavy moves recently. On Thursday, Oct. 13, the rapper released the music video for her new single “Crying On Your Birthday.” This project would be her second post-project single since the release of her critically acclaimed debut project, Where The Flowers Don’t Die.
Additionally, Monaleo has also announced her solo Monaleo Like Monalisa Tour. Tickets are now on sale, and the tour is set to kick off on Tuesday, Nov. 14, in Chicago, IL at Beat Kitchen.
Megan Thee Stallion For Black Girl Betterment
On Oct. 11, the #BlackGirlJoyChallenge was launched, a collaboration between the Southern Black Girls and Women’s Consortium, The Pete and Thomas Foundation (Megan Thee Stallion’s non-profit), and NIKE, coinciding with the “International Day of the Girl Child.”
To add to the excitement, on Thursday, Oct. 12, Thee Stallion took to producer Lil Ju’s Instagram Live to say that she is an independent artist and is not ready to sign to a label just yet. She also teased a Halloween, serpent-themed promo titled, ACT ONE, which could potentially be an upcoming song or album.
Kaliii With Another Remix
One of the new girls on the block, Kaliii, has released her version of “Peaches and Eggplants.” The rapper is known for her unique spin on remixes and adding her own flavor to them.
To top it off, Kaliii’s new 4-track EP has officially dropped featuring notable artists like Yung Nudy, GloRilla, and NLE Choppa.
Nicki Minaj Teases Scrapped Snippet
On Oct. 12, the Pink Friday artist took to her Instagram Live and shared a scrapped song from her Pink Friday 2 album.
Although Minaj expressed her dislike for the song on this particular album, it does seem like she hinted towards maybe releasing it as a single. This will give the Barbz something to look forward to. Maybe a back-to-back release?

City Girls – ‘R.A.W.’
On Wednesday, Oct.11, the City Girls announced the title of their highly anticipated third studio album, R.A.W. – an acronym for “Real A** Wh**es.” The album, set to be released on Friday, Oct. 20, marks their first album since 2020’s City On Lock, which peaked at No. 29 on the US Billboard 200 chart.
To top off the excitement and anticipation for the new album, the duo has released the trailer for the album, which seemingly pays homage to one of their original music videos, “Take Yo Man” with the cameos of paparazzi. The background music also resembles Megan Thee Stallion’s “Thot Shit.” With their album being titled R.A.W. respectively, this could also call for a surprise collaboration that fans weren’t expecting.
