Dummy Vapes Vs. Fume Vape Company
6ix9ine, also known as Tekashi 6ix9ine, has found himself in the middle of a legal battle between two vape companies, Dummy Vapes and Fume. Dummy Vapes accuses Fume of shady dealings, claiming that they offered the controversial rapper a $1 million deal behind their backs as well as monetarily bribing Kodak Black for a song collaboration.
In February 2023, Dummy Vapes announced a celebrity collaboration with 6ix9ine, exclusively endorsing their vaping products. However, things took a turn when Fume Vape Company entered the picture with an enticing $1 million offer.
Tensions Arise
The lawsuit alleges that Fume contacted the rapper behind Dummy Vapes’ back, causing tensions between the two companies.
Additionally, Dummy Vapes further claimed that they spent $60,000 for 6ix9ine to be on a private jet to promote their brand at an industry event in Las Vegas, only for the rapper to back out due to Fume’s influence. As a result, Dummy Vapes is now suing Fume for allegedly trying to meddle in their relationship with 6ix9ine.
Million Dollar Yak: 6ix9ine Clears His Name
Furthermore, Dummy Vapes also stated that 6ix9ine released a PSA in which he clarified his exclusive interest in collaborating with Dummy Vapes. He made it clear that any business transactions involving Fume were conducted exclusively through his girlfriend’s contractual agreement.
Regarding the “Shaka Laka” song collaboration with Kodak Black, the ‘Gummo’ rapper took to the True Life podcast with host Mike Ashabi to clear his name regarding allegations that he allegedly paid Black $1 million for a collaboration.
The collaborative song prominently features Tekashi 6ix9ine, his girlfriend Yailin La Mas Viral, and Kodak Black promoting Fume Vape Company’s products.
When asked about the $1 million payment, he responded saying:
“I didn’t pay him, people have to do research. There’s a whole company called Fume, so there’s a whole video, pictures, bank statements… like literally there’s videos online of this company saying, listen this is a collab song for our vapes. They’re holding a check taking a picture with them.” It was their [Fume] song, they paid the million dollars, we did the video, we shot it.”
