Jamaican born and Panama raised singer-songwriter and recording artist REGALJASON is back after a short break with his new hit single titled “EMPIRE,” a record dropped alongside immensely creative visuals. The Panama segment of the music video was shot by Jorge Isaac, and the New York segment was shot by Gabriel Inghilterra who also edited the entire video.
“EMPIRE” is much different than anything we’ve been used to listen to and watch, with REGALJASON taking the lead towards higher consciousness as he talks about the apexes of poverty and opulence, the symbiotic relationship between innovation and degradation, modern day feudalism, and more.
Having resided in many cities around the world has sparked the artist’s desire to share what he has seen and the important lessons he has processed following these experiences, all channeled magnificently through this poetic single. He shares: “It became very apparent to me that cities housed, in close quarters, both what a society was most proud of and what it was most ashamed of.”
The artist has also announced that “EMPIRE” is the first reveal off his forthcoming EP Megafauna.
