Keyside Return with Radiant Summer Anthem ‘Lemon & Lime’

Liverpool indie quintet Keyside have returned with their latest hope-filled, sun-drenched anthem, Lemon & Lime. Described by the band as a track that soundtracks “the joy of parks in the summer with friends,” the song is laced with soaring, buoyant vocals, indie jangle, and poetic lyricism. It serves as a significant addition to their growing catalogue, which continues to act as an encyclopedia of gritty, beautiful, and open-heartedly honest Gen-Z experience.

While previous Keyside narratives often explored intricate character studies—such as the BBC Radio 1 and 6 Music-supported track ‘Nikita’ or the cautionary ‘Michael (What’s Your Call?)’—this latest release sees frontman Dani-Lee Parker shifting focus. By balancing majors against minors and pitching joy against despair, the band unapologetically celebrates the thrills of teenage life: freedom, mistakes, and the pursuit of grown-up ambitions beneath fading blue skies.

The track has already gained significant momentum, earning ‘Track of the Week’ status on the BBC Radio 1 Introducing show with Jess Iszatt, as well as from BBC Introducing Merseyside. This success follows the band’s sold-out 2025 UK tour, which culminated in a triumphant homecoming at the 1,200-capacity Liverpool O2 Academy.

Parker reflects on the inspiration behind the single: “It’s about those nights where you’re completely out of control in the best possible way: carving your name somewhere you shouldn’t, being with someone you can’t stop thinking about, that feeling that nothing can touch you.”

The single is accompanied by a music video starring BAFTA-nominated actor Dylan Thomas-Smith. As the band continues their 2026 run, which includes support slots for The Automatic and The Clause, as well as major festival appearances, fans remain eager for news regarding their debut album.
