The Rolling Stones Announce Guest Artists on ‘Hackney Diamonds’

Today, The Rolling Stones have revealed the complete track list for their highly anticipated new album, Hackney Diamonds, due on October 20 via Geffen Records. In addition to the titles of the impending batch of music, the favored British rockers also delivered the names of special guests who have joined them on the album.

After sharing the initial track released off the set, “Angry,” the band followed up and expanded upon their intent with the new LP, sharing the names of the remaining material. Included are a pair of songs, “Mess It Up” and “Live By The Sword,” featuring late Rolling Stones’ drummer, Charlie Watts. The latter tune also incorporates instrumentation from former Stones bassist Bill Wyman.

Hackney Diamonds is also slated to feature a guest spot from Lady Gaga, who adds her vocals to the band’s new number, “Sweet Sounds Of Heaven,” in addition to Stevie Wonder, who also helps out, tacking on lyrical accompaniment and keys. The set expands with Paul McCartney’s bass contributions to “Bite My Head.”

According to the band’s official press release, which detailed the artist additions to Hackney Diamonds, Elton John is also slated to help out, performing piano on “Get Close” and the already-mentioned “Live By The Sword.”

The 12-track album was recorded in various locations around the world, including Henson Recording Studios, Los Angeles; Metropolis Studios, London; Sanctuary Studios, Nassau, Bahamas; Electric Lady Studios, New York; and The Hit Factory/Germano Studios, also in New York.

Last week, The Rolling Stones launched the album at a globally live-streamed event from Hackney Empire in East London. The livestream was followed by the video’s premiere for “Angry.” Watch the official music video and read more.
