Beloved rock band from New Jersey, The Gaslight Anthem, has released their first new song in nearly a decade. Titled “Positive Charge,” the single was produced and mixed by Peter Katis at Tarquin Studios in Bridgeport, Conn. The band’s frontman, Brian Fallon, described the song as a “message of joy” to both themselves and their fans.

Fallon explained that “Positive Charge” is about looking back at the challenges and obstacles the band has faced and moving forward with an open heart and a belief in a better future. He added that the band’s best years are still ahead of them and that their past achievements are valuable.

The Gaslight Anthem’s most recent album, Get Hurt, was their fifth and was released in 2014 – fans have been eagerly awaiting new music ever since. The band will embark on a tour of the United States beginning in May, with a lineup of special guests on their travel that includes Oso Oso, Emily Wolfe, Fear, Avail, and the Original Misfits.
