Yesterday afternoon, Bruce Springsteen announced that his concert alongside the E Street Band scheduled for Tuesday, March 14 at the MVP Arena in Albany, N.Y., has been postponed. This is the third consecutive show to be pushed because of illness.
The Sunday afternoon message to fans and followers, which was presented via Twitter, read: “Due to illness, Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band’s concert at MVP Arena in Albany on Tuesday, March 14 has been postponed. We are working on rescheduling the date so please hold on to your tickets as they will be valid for the rescheduled show.”
The aforementioned concert is the third show in a row to be postponed by The Boss. Initially, Springsteen pushed his gig that was slated to occur at Columbus, Ohio’s Nationwide Arena on March 9 and followed up by deferring March 12’s gig at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Conn., as well.
Following the steady stream of postponements, E Street Band guitarist Stevie Van Zandt responded to a fan via Twitter, offering, “No need to be anxious or afraid. Nothing serious. Just a temporary situation. We will all be back in full force very soon.”
