On Wednesday evening, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band shared that they postponed an impending string of stadium appearances slated to occur this month after the group’s namesake was treated for symptoms related to a peptic ulcer. In an official statement shared via Springsteen’s social media, he reassured fans that he is receiving treatments to combat the prodrome.
The statement began with a brief overview of the situation before turning it over to the artist himself, who offered his own view on the situation: “Over here on E Street, we’re heartbroken to have to postpone these shows. First, apologies to our fabulous Philly fans who we missed a few weeks ago. We’ll be back to pick these shows up and then some. Thank you for your understanding and support.”
He concluded his comments by adding, “We’ve been having a blast at our U.S. shows and we’re looking forward to more great times. We’ll be back soon.” Before the band’s announcement, they were scheduled to take the stage at JMA Wireless Dome in Syracuse, N.Y., on Thursday, September 7, and put on a weekend show at Camden Yards in Baltimore. As a result of the change, the aforementioned dates have been impacted. More information pertaining to the group’s rescheduled shows is pending.
