Levitation and Resound Presents have revealed the return of the highly anticipated Austin Psych Fest, set to take place at The Far Out Lounge in South Austin, Texas from April 26 to 28, 2024.
Austin Psych Fest, originally launched in 2008 as a DIY gathering by The Black Angels and friends, has evolved into an international focal point for the underground music scene. Following the success of Austin Psych Fest 2023, which celebrated its 15th anniversary with a throwback to the original multi-stage, single-venue format, Austin Psych Fest 2024 promises to solidify its position as a staple of Austin’s psychedelic rock heritage.
Nestled in an intimate setting under the starlit sky and historic oak trees, this year’s Austin Psych Fest will transport attendees back to the roots of the original event, offering a unique blend of psych rock, dream pop, and indie rock. The lineup boasts an impressive array of talent, featuring renowned artists such as Courtney Barnett, Alvvays, Kurt Vile & The Violators, The Black Angels, All Them Witches, Chicano Batman, Witch, Dehd, Blondshell, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, Frankie and The Witch Fingers, Earthless, and many more.
This year’s installment promises a return to the old-school vibe of the inaugural event, featuring an outdoor stage and a richly curated lineup that pays homage to the ’60s golden era of psychedelia while embracing the innovative sounds of the future. Another highlight will be the collaboration between The Black Angels and visual artists TV Eye.
For eager fans, a special LEVITATION Presale is set for December 14 at 10 AM CST, available exclusively for LEV’23 or APF’23 ticket holders. The general public on-sale begins on December 15 at 10 AM CST. Tickets for the weekend passes and single-day access can be purchased on the official Austin Psych Fest here.
