YSL Mondo Arrested For Gun & Drug Charges

YSL Mondo Arrested For Gun & Drug Charges

YSL Mondo was arrested on August 2 for multiple drug and gun charges after a search of his home in Georgia. The arrest comes after the co-founder of Young Stoner Life (YSL) missed a court date in July related to a separate crime where he was accused of strangling a woman.

YSL Mondo Arrested

During the search of his home, federal agents, including the U.S. Marshals Task Force, GBI agents, and Cobb County deputies, discovered drugs, cash, and at least three guns. As a result, YSL Mondo, whose real name is Fremondo Crenshaw, is now facing several felony charges, including three counts of violating the Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act.

Although YSL Mondo is not involved in the ongoing RICO case involving Young Thug, he will be held at the Cobb County Jail, where the Atlanta rapper is currently being held. YSL Mondo also faces additional charges in DeKalb County, with sentencing expected to be determined later in Cobb County.

YSL Chaos

In recent months, YSL Mondo has been vocal about the YSL RICO case, which saw Young Thug and fellow Atlanta rapper Gunna indicted in May 2022. Mondo also criticized Gunna for accepting a plea deal in December 2022.

This arrest adds to the ongoing legal troubles surrounding the YSL brand and its affiliated artists. In the latest development, Young Thug and YSL affiliate Yak Gotti were recently denied bond in relation to the RICO case.

Additionally, two jurors out of a pool of 700 potential jurors were removed from the jury selection process due to bias and prejudice toward the defendants.

G Herbo Faces Gun Charge After Traffic Stop

While YSL Mondo grapples with the legal implications of his arrest, another rapper, G Herbo, also faces gun charges. The Chicago rapper was arrested after failing to use his turn signal during a traffic stop, where police discovered a Glock 33 in his car.
