Will Smith and Martin Lawrence have officially announced that production for Bad Boys 4 has officially begun.
In a minute-long vlog, Smith, the Emancipation star is seen recording himself in YouTuber style, eager to share his “ecstatic” news. He arrived at Martin Lawrence’s home, who showed up cool and collected, asking, “Is it about that time?” — in a manner only he could deliver.
Toward the end, the two fall into their cherished characters with well-timed humor and delivery.
It was assumed plans on a fourth entry in the Bad Boys franchise were canceled due to the infamous moment where Smith slapped comedian Chris Rock during the 94th Academy Awards, but those rumors have been proven false.
As of yet, there has been no confirmed release date, but IMDB states Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, who directed the third film, Bad Boys for Life, will return to direct the fourth installment.
In addition, Lex Elle will be joining the cast as Detective Xander Blackmon.
