Kanye Big Ups Snoop

Kanye West is showing love to Snoop Dogg after rapper Curren$y took to Twitter to send congratulations to Tha Doggfather on his latest power move, hailing it as a prime example of Ye’s  “Black Future Month” movement with a tweet:  “Snoop acquiring Deathrow is Black Future Month As F*ck.”

Kanye saw the tweet and shared it on his Instagram page. Snoop Dogg reciprocated the love by reposting Kanye West‘s Curren$y screenshot on his own Instagram page along with fist bump and folded hands emojis.

Snoop Dogg, in a statement, said: “I am thrilled and appreciative of the opportunity to acquire the iconic and culturally significant Death Row Records brand, which has immense untapped future value. It feels good to have ownership of the label I was part of at the beginning of my career and as one of the founding members.”

Snoop acquired the Death Row Records brand from MNRK Music Group, a private equity fund managed by leading global investment firm Blackstone (“Blackstone”), the world’s largest alternative asset manager. Terms of the transaction were not released.
