50 Cent Faces Charges For Throwing Mic At Fan During Concert

50 Cent is facing legal trouble after allegedly throwing a microphone at a fan during his Los Angeles concert. The incident has resulted in a criminal felony battery charge against the artist.

50 Cent Gets Angry

50 Cent has found himself in legal trouble after hurling a microphone into a crowd; injuring a fan. The incident, which took place during his Final Lap Tour at Crypto.com Arena on August 30, has resulted in a criminal felony battery charge against the artist.

In the midst of his performance, the rapper/television mogul grew increasingly frustrated with receiving malfunctioning microphones. Unable to contain his anger, he tossed a microphone from one side of the stage while Compton rapper YG was performing. 50 Cent also threw another microphone earlier in the show, but no one was injured.

Who Was Injured?

Unfortunately, the throw struck a woman in the head, causing her injuries. The woman who was hit was Power 106 host Bryhana Monegain and she was taken to the hospital. Sources confirm that Monegain  was not supposed to be in the restricted area off stage, making her the sole victim of the microphone toss.

The injuries sustained by Monegain affected her head and neck.

50 Cent and his representatives have chosen to remain silent regarding the incident. However, no specific charges have been filed against the artist as of yet. The legal proceedings surrounding this incident are still ongoing.

50 Postpones Arizona Show

During the Final Lap Tour, the Power mogul faced another obstacle when he was forced to postpone a show in Phoenix due to extreme heat. With temperatures exceeding 116 degrees, the safety of the audience and crew became a priority, leading to the rescheduling of the event.

In more positive news, 50 Cent recently collaborated with the Washington Commanders and his cognac brand, Sire Spirits. As part of the partnership, 50 Cent’s Branson Cognac will serve as the team’s official cognac, while Le Chemin du Roi will be the official champagne.

Cardi’s Tossed Mic Sells For $100K

Throwing a microphone at a fan is not an isolated incident among rappers. Cardi B, known for her hit single “Up,” also had an encounter where she tossed a microphone at a fan in Las Vegas. Interestingly, the microphone used in the incident was later sold for $100,000, with the proceeds going to charity.
