London based, Irish duo Nixer have released their third single of the year ‘Second Hand’ and announce their second EP I hit the town and the town hit me back with a release planned in the autumn on Blowtorch Records.
The new track ‘Second Hand‘ focuses on themes of fraught connection and festering distrust as life unravels around the writer. The lyrics are delivered with defiance and anger as the author Seán Keenan shines a light on a situation through clever use of observation. The instrumentation should come with a “You will not be able to resist dancing” warning. The spikey synths are crisp and precise…..and fast. With hard-hitting percussion and a layered vocal this sees Nixer heading deeper into electronica and the speed is phenomenal. With the second EP entitled ‘I hit the town and the town hit me back’ I’m looking forward to hearing just how far Nixer are going to take their interpretation of dance and electronic music.
