From tragedy to hope, urban artist Quanum888 takes us on an emotional rollercoaster with his new release “Here We Go.” Originally from Kingston, Jamaica, he was abandoned in the slums of Kingston as a newborn. Living a life full of obstacles, hardships and pains, he was able to envision a brighter future after discovering his artistic talent at 16 years old.
He says:“Everything is broken and crumbling around me, so many friends dead, and so many near and dear that I’ve grown aware not to trust. This is where giving up on life and everything that keeps sucking the soul out of a person seems best to do. Music has always been that small bright spot that keeps the legs moving forward; to where? I don’t know… “ Speaking about the song “Here We Go,” he adds: “This song came about while I was on the verge of taking my own life; but I figured to give this music thing one last push…. Hoping there is a God.”
“Here We Go” fully showcases his innate abilities at translating through sound and lyrics his incredibly painful truths, but also the hope that has arisen in his soul since he found his passion for music.
