Over the weekend, the musical triumvirate Boygenius–comprised of Phoebe Bridgers, Lucy Dacus, and Julien Baker–made a triumphant return to the national spotlight on CBS Saturday Morning‘s milestone 500th Saturday Sessions episode. The collective journey of these artists, who each made their national television debuts on the iconic show, was a testament to their meteoric rise.

Renowned for spotlighting a diverse range of musicians over nearly a decade, CBS Saturday Morning‘s Saturday Sessions became the launching pad for Boygenius’ musical odyssey –the trio revisited their inception point to mark the historic 500th episode, foregoing the show’s usual intimate studio set up in for a larger stage and a live audience.

For their appearance, Boygenius delivered renditions of three tracks – “Twenty Dollars,” “Not Strong Enough,” and “Cool About It” – from their album, The Record.

During the show, the trio also engaged in a conversation with CBS’ Anthony Mason. The discussion traversed their evolution from indie rock enthusiasts to sharing stages with global sensation Taylor Swift and ultimately establishing themselves as headline acts, commanding sold-out shows.

The apex of this chapter of Boygenius’ journey unfolded over the weekend as their “The Tour” concluded with a sold-out performance at Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Next, the trio are set to embark on a month-long European tour. Following their performances across the pond, they’ll return to U.S. shores with another tour leg with performances at New York’s Madison Square Garden and the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.
