Temples To Welcome New LP ‘Exotico’ with North American Tour

British psych-rock band Temples’ new album Exotico is set to release tomorrow, April 14 – to celebrate the project, they’ll set out on a headlining tour across North America. Exotico was produced by Sean Ono Lennon and mixed by Grammy award-winner David Friedmann, who is known for his work with The Flaming Lips, MGMT and more.

Temples, comprised of James Bagshaw (guitar, vocals), Thomas Walmsley (bass guitar, backing vocals), Adam Smith (keyboards, rhythm guitar, backing vocals), and Rens Ottink (drums and percussion), will showcase their 16-track starting on June 6 at Washington, D.C.’s Black Cat. From there they’ll head to cities like Philadelphia, Brooklyn, N.Y., Boston, Montreal, Toronto, Detroit, Chicago, Minneapolis, Denver, Salt Lake City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Vancouver and Portland. The tour will culminate with a showcase of sound at Bumbershoot Festival in Seattle on Sept. 3.

The tour, which will enjoy support from Chicago’s Post Animal, comes after a sold-out run of small club shows in the U.K. to road-test the album. Currently, three singles have been released ahead of the full album: “Cicada,” “Gamma Rays and “Afterlife,” and the latter two have videos currently streaming on YouTube.
