Taylor Swift to Release Eras Tour Concert Film

Taylor Swift is bringing her monumental Eras Tour to the big screen with an exciting concert film set to premiere in theaters on Oct. 13. In an Instagram post, Swift shared her joy about the upcoming release, describing the Eras Tour as the most profound and electrifying experience of her life.

In the post, Swift also invited fans to join her in reliving the magic of the tour on the big screen, encouraging them to don Eras-themed attire, sport friendship bracelets, and embrace singing and dancing. Swift playfully chanted, “1, 2, 3 LGB!!!! (if you know, you know).”

The film will be showcased at AMC theaters, with a minimum of four daily showtimes available on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, starting from the second week of October. Embracing her penchant for meaningful numbers, the ticket prices will echo the sentiment of her journey, being set at $19.89, plus tax, while child and senior tickets will be priced at $13.13, plus tax. Learning from past ticketing mishaps, AMC has taken measures to enhance its ticket server capacity to handle traffic, far surpassing any previous records.

Despite being only halfway through the Eras Tour, it has already become a monumental success, ranking among the greatest tours in history. Famously, the initial ticket sale encountered obstacles as the overwhelming demand caused Ticketmaster’s system to crash. The aftermath of this glitch not only led to a cancellation of the general on-sale but also sparked discussions about Ticketmaster’s control over the live entertainment industry. Swift pushed back against Ticketmaster, as their CEO seemed to deflect blame onto her fame.

However, as the Eras Tour kicked off in March 2023, it proved to be an unstoppable phenomenon. The journey has been marked by extraordinary moments, including captivating duets with artists like Phoebe Bridgers, Aaron Dessner, Marcus Mumford and Ice Spice. Swift also graced fans with the first live performance of “Dear John” in over a decade and unveiled “Taylor’s Version” albums for both Speak Now and 1989.

The influence of the Eras Tour extended beyond the stage, impacting local economies and prompting government officials to honor Swift with street renamings and pleas for tour stops in their regions. The tour’s impact even propelled the previously unreleased fan-favorite track “Cruel Summer” from Lover into the Billboard Hot 100’s Top 10.

Looking ahead, Swift’s Eras Tour is set to continue in November with a South American leg. The journey will traverse continents, encompassing Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, and the U.K. throughout 2024. Afterward, Swift will return to North America for a final run in October 2024.
