Sugar Pine Music Festival has outlined its initial artist lineup. The multi-day gathering, formerly known as Hangtown Music Festival, will occur at the Nevada County Fairgrounds in Grass Valley, Calif. The event is slated to commence on Thursday, Oct. 19, and close on Sunday, Oct. 22.
Topping the list are musical acts such as Lettuce, Mike Campbell & The Dirty Knobs, and Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, who are billed to perform a tribute set to The Beastie Boys. Moreover, the fall festival will also feature homage honoring the work of Jerry Garcia and David Grisman, from Stu Allen, Joe Craven, Jim Kerwin and Andrew Collins.
In addition to the previously mentioned musical guests, the following have signed on to perform two sets of music during the Golden State coming together; included are ALO, Jennifer Hartwick Band, New Mastersound’s Eddie Roberts & The Lucky Strokes, Carolyn Wonderland, Honey Island Swamp Band, Dead Winter Carpenters, Armchair Boogie and Grateful Bluegrass Boys.
