Karen Salicath Jamali, the Danish-American pianist and composer known for her deeply spiritual approach to music, unveils her latest single, “Angel Gabriel’s Light.” The meditative piano piece, arriving August 9 in pre-release and officially launching worldwide on August 22, continues her commitment to using music as a vessel for healing and connection.
Inspired by a dream vision, “Angel Gabriel’s Light” captures the gentle yet powerful presence of the archangel Gabriel, often regarded as the messenger of hope and light. Recorded in a single, intuitive session on her Steinway grand piano, the piece reflects Salicath’s belief in music as a divine transmission. “This music is not just a melody—it is a message,” she explains. “A message of hope, unity, and inner light.”
The single has already struck a chord with listeners, reaching #1 on Hypeddit’s Top 100 Classical Chart ahead of its official release. It will also be featured on her forthcoming album, expanding her growing body of work dedicated to spiritual exploration through sound.
Salicath’s story is as remarkable as her music. After a near-death experience in 2012, she awoke from a lengthy recovery with the spontaneous ability to compose piano music, despite never having played before. Since then, she has written over 2,500 original works, released eight albums, and performed eight times at Carnegie Hall. In 2024, she received nominations from the World Entertainment Awards for Dreams of Angels (Best Album) and “White Angel” (Best Single).
With “Angel Gabriel’s Light,” Karen Salicath Jamali offers listeners more than a piano piece—she extends an invitation to pause, breathe, and encounter light through sound.
