Rich The Kid recently faced arrest for non-compliance with law enforcement during a bomb threat incident. The incident unfolded in Miami Beach, where the rapper was reportedly arrested on charges of resisting an officer without violence and trespassing.
Bond In 20
In a dramatic turn of events on Dec. 10, Rich The Kid was entangled in a bomb threat incident at the SLS Hotel in South Beach during his stay for Art Basel.
As law enforcement officials responded to the threat, they blocked off the area for investigation, leading to a confrontation with the rapper. Despite the ongoing security measures, the “New Freezer” rapper insisted on accessing his hotel room.
Authorities, however, informed him that entry would only be permitted once the sweep was completed, cautioning him against further attempts. Undeterred, the rapper defiantly retorted, “I’ll bond out in 20 minutes,” and proceeded to trespass onto the property by jumping over a fence, resulting in his subsequent arrest.
Rich The Kid Taken Into Custody
Inside the hotel, Rich The Kid encountered a K-9 unit, and an officer ordered him to leave the premises. Despite the command, the rapper refused and lingered in the driveway.
Consequently, he was taken into custody by the police. The artist was charged with resisting an officer without violence and trespassing, both misdemeanors. It remains unclear whether he has bonded out or is still held in custody.
RTK Honors Late Friend
More recently in Jan. 2023, the ATL rapper commemorated the loss of his friend, Migos rapper Takeoff, by getting a tattoo of the late rapper. The tattoo was in black ink with “Takeoff” written in cursive on his right hand.

In a recent incident involving Rich The Kid’s arrest in Miami, it is worth noting that bomb threats have become an unfortunate occurrence in various settings. In February 2022, thirteen HBCUs (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) faced bomb threats, highlighting the ongoing threat these institutions face.
