Georgia State Law School To Offer Course On Rick Ross’ Business Empire

Rick Ross will be the subject of a new law course at Georgia State’s College of Law. Starting in the fall semester of 2023, students will have the opportunity to study the life and career of the Miami rapper, delving into his business ventures and applying them to real-world scenarios.

Rick Ross, The Biggest Boss

Professor Mo Ivory, in charge of Georgia State’s Entertainment, Sports & Media Law initiative and the course creator, expressed her excitement about having Rick Ross as the focus. She sees him as a visionary in the hip-hop industry and believes that his career and his successful business moves make him an ideal choice for students to study. Ivory stated:

“As a lover of rap music, hip-hop culture and in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Hip-Hop, I could not think of a better time to study the career of a visionary like Rick Ross. When I began my research on Ross, I realized early on that my students would learn about a businessman who turned his love of music into an empire that includes massive real estate holdings, food and beverage franchises, investments in the car and bike industry, literary works and corporate equity ownership.”

The “Hustlin” rapper has made a name for himself in the music industry and has made significant strides in various business ventures. These include massive real estate holdings, investments in the food and beverage franchises Wingstop, Checkers and Rally’s, the healthcare startup JetDoc, Belaire Rose, and even the car and bike industry.

The “Legal Life Of”

Additionally, Ross has authored literary works and holds corporate equity ownership.

The “Legal Life Of” course will teach students essential legal concepts such as representing clients and drafting contracts. Ross will be the fourth celebrity featured in this course, following in previous years, Ludacris, Kandi Burress, and Steve Harvey.

Boss Philanthropy

In recent news, Rick Ross made headlines for his generous donation of over $30,000 to help a struggling healthcare clinic in Georgia. His visit to the Fayette Care Clinic demonstrated his commitment to ensuring individuals access the necessary healthcare.

The Boss and Nelly Team Up

On another note, Rick Ross and St. Louis rap legend Nelly became owners in the National Thoroughbred League. Set to debut on Labor Day Weekend in 2023, the league will feature a three-race series with a $1 million prize for the winner.

Hustle Like Hussle

Similarly, Loyola Marymount University created a course in spring 2023 dedicated to the strategies and methods of the late rapper Nipsey Hussle‘s rap and business success. This shows a growing trend of universities recognizing successful hip-hop artists’ impact and entrepreneurial endeavors.
