Yesterday, April 20, the second day of the Skull & Roses gathering was held at the Ventura County Fair Grounds in Ventura, Calif. The Thursday bill boasted an array of acts, which pulled in the event’s Dead-adjacent theme–a nod toward the legacy jamband’s history at the location, which they performed at 11 times between 1982 and 1987.
On the docket for the second day of jubilee were headliners Oteil & Friends and fellow jammers, Grateful Shred, who welcomed Mikaela Davis to the stage, minus her trademark harp. Elsewhere, sets were performed by Big Steve & The Assbites, Stu Allen & Mars Hotel, The Latin Dead, Xtra Ticket, Garcia Birthday Band, Wall of Sound and Shaky Feelin.
On location was photographer Steven Rood, who captured shots of the favored Dead-infused event. Scroll down to view a collection of images from Day Two of Skull & Roses.
