Osiris Wants To Help
Hip Hop artist and Florida native YK Osiris reached out to offer assistance to the family of Tyre Sampson, the teen who fell to his death on a theme park ride in Orlando, Florida.
Osiris was made aware of the tragedy through widespread distribution of the graphic video broadcasted all over social media. The rapper then took to Instagram to reach out to Sampson’s family to offer to pay the funeral expenses.
He said, “If anybody knows his family, tell them dm me because I want to pay for his funeral cost.”
There has been no word yet on if the family has responded to his offer.
14-year-old Tyre Sampson fell to his death on a popular theme park ride titled “The Slingshot” on March 24th. Sampson was in Orlando at the time visiting with his friend’s family. He was described by family and friends as “a gentle giant, honor roll student, and a gifted athlete with an extremely bright future”.
Ben Crump To The Rescue
Civil rights attorney Ben Crump has been hired by the family of Tyre Sampson along with attorney Bob Hilliard. According to a press release, Crump and the family will work to get answers. Crump stated, “This family is shocked and heartbroken at the loss of their son. This young man was the kind of son every parent hopes for – an honor roll student, an aspiring athlete, and a kind-hearted person who cared about others. Needless to say, his family is absolutely devastated”
No further details have been provided thus far.
Cardi B To Pay Funeral Costs For Bronx Fire Victims
Recently, rapper Cardi B offered to pay the funeral costs for those who lost their lives in the deadly NYC highrise fire in January 2022. Seventeen people, including children, tragically lost their lives after a fire ripped through their Bronx apartment building.
The multi-platinum artist shared how she wanted to do something to alleviate the suffering of the affected families.
“I cannot begin to imagine the pain and anguish that the families of the victims are experiencing, but I hope that not having to worry about the costs associated with burying their loved ones will help as they move forward and heal.”
