Young Nudy’s new album, Gumbo welcomed his fans to a feast of new music. The rapper is known for his clever food name titles on his songs, and in this new LP, all the tracks have food titles to match the album.
Atlanta rapper Young Nudy dropped his new album Gumbo, and all of the song titles are food names, which seems to be an ongoing theme in his music.
The 30-year-old rapper released the album on Feb. 28. Gumbo includes 13 tracks with features from Memphis rapper Key Glock on the track, “Pot Roast” and fellow Atlanta rapper 21 Savage on “Peaches & Eggplants.”
Other titles from the album include “Brussel Sprout,” “Pancake,” “Shrimp,” and more. The LP also marks Young Nudy’s first project since EA Monster, released in August 2022.
The songs named do not reference the food in the title, but rather themes of drill and trap music themes.
Reactions on Twitter featured fans who were excited about his new music and also praised the unique song names, which one fan described as “hard.”
One Twitter user simply posted a picture of NBA players Trae Young and Ja Morant, with the caption, “Key Glock and Young Nudy after they finished recording ‘Pot Roast’.”
Young Nudy, along with other rappers such as Young Thug, Gunna, 21 Savage, and others had hundreds of songs leaked in December 2022 before his album’s release.
However, none of Young Nudy’s leaked songs are confirmed to be on the album.
