Tyler The Creator and Pharrell Williams previewed a trailer for the new rap docuseries, RapCaviar Presents. The series will air on Hulu and highlight the music worldview from an artist’s perspective.
Los Angeles rapper Tyler the Creator has teamed up with star producer and friend Pharrell Williams for a new show on Hulu, RapCaviar Presents.
A Worldview From An Artist’s Perspective
Hulu released a trailer for the docuseries, which features Tyler speaking about his uprising career and how Pharrell played a significant role in helping him. During his rising career, he has produced clothing lines and sold-out tours.
“I didn’t have a father, I didn’t have a big brother or big cousins so as a kid since 10 or 11 Pharrell is who I looked at,” Tyler said.
Tyler and Pharrell have worked together in the studio, including for the 2022 song “Cash In Cash Out,” featuring Atlanta rapper 21 Savage.
RapCaviar is an influential hip-hop playlist on Spotify. The docuseries will include other rappers, City Girls, Jack Harlow, Coi Leray, Roddy Ricch, Tyler The Creator, and Pharrell Williams.
According to an Uproxx report, the series will highlight a worldview from an artist’s perspective. The series is to premiere on March 30.
Other rappers have made their presence felt on the screen, with rapper and entertainment mogul 50 Cent hinting at creating an 8 Mile remake series about Detroit rap legend Eminem.
West Coast rapper Vince Staples is also set to star in a TV series remake of the 1999 classic, The Wood, where he will be the leading role.
Nas Narrated “Story Of Hip-Hop” Documentary To Air On A&E
Rap legend Nas narrated an eight-part docuseries on A&E called The Origins of Hip-Hop. It premiered last May with one-hour episodes. As Nas narrated the series, the episodes focused on the stories of rappers such as Fat Joe, Busta Rhymes, Grandmaster Flash, Eve, Ja Rule, Ice-T, Uncle Luke, and Lil Jon.
