R&B star Tinashe is seeking legal protection from a man who has allegedly been stalking her for over two years.
Tinashe Says Stalker Invaded Her Home
Tinashe, best known for her hit single, “2 On,” and her “333” musical project, reveals that she has been dealing with alleged stalker Ramon Oppikofer for an extended period. According to TMZ, unsolicited tags on Instagram and harmless online fan engagement turned into a more serious situation when the individual showed up uninvited to her brother’s private birthday celebration. Concerned for her safety, Tinashe pursued legal measures by filing for a restraining order.
The singer recounts unsettling encounters with Oppikofer, including one incident when he handed her a hotel room key and later lurking outside her Los Angeles property. Tinashe contacted the police when he appeared outside her residence and engaged in suspicious behavior.
Despite confronting him, the disturbing incidents continued, according to Tinashe, with Oppikofer ringing her doorbell multiple times and even breaking into her home. Law enforcement was called, and Oppikofer was briefly arrested before being released due to no-bail policies.
Tinashe Fears Stalker’s Return
Tinashe stated that she fears that Oppikofer may return to her residence, leading to a potential escalation of the situation. She has pleaded with the court to grant her protection through the temporary restraining order, while LAPD Threat Management actively investigates the case.
Jhene Aiko Files Restraining Order Against Stalker
Tinashe’s experience with a stalker fan echoes a similar story involving Big Sean and Jhene Aiko. Both musical stars recently dealt with a stalker fan at Aiko’s Los Angeles home, resulting in Aiko filing a restraining order.
