Star rappers T.I., Moneybagg Yo, Soulja Boy, and Lil Durk are the latest rappers to enter the legal cannabis industry through a partnership with tobacco company Cignature. The new endeavor introduced flavored hemp wraps inspired by the rappers, who, according to Forbes, intend to bridge the tobacco industries with the cannabis space.
Rapper-Flavored Hemp Wraps
Moneybagg Yo took a picture with his bag of Banana-flavored hemp wraps on Instagram.
Each rapper will have their own flavored hemp wraps. T.I.’s are honey-flavored, while Soulja Boy will have Black Cherry and Lil Durk will have Sweet Aromatic.
Cignature debuted the brand at the Champs tradeshow in Las Vegas last February. The brand will provide cigars, hemp-derived CBD, and delta-8 THC products with the flavors and their other products.
More Rappers Taking Over The Cannabis Industry
Other rappers that have also stepped into the cannabis industry include Atlanta rapper Gunna with his WUNNALAND brand and Wu-Tang member Method Man with his brand, TICAL.
Chicago rapper Vic Mensa also launched his cannabis brand 93 Boyz, which is the first Black-owned cannabis brand in Illinois.
Diddy To Create World’s Largest Black-Owned Cannabis Company
Music mogul and executive Diddy is set to become the owner of the largest Black-owned cannabis company.
In November, Diddy made a purchase through Cresco Labs, the top wholesaler of branded cannabis in the country. He will also be able to grow and manufacture cannabis in cities such as New York City, Boston, and Chicago.
