Nicki Minaj Almost Breaks Internet Over Vaccine Comments
Nicki initially went to her Twitter page to initially speak on her absence from tonight’s Met Gala event. Despite her past appearances at the star-studded Big Apple gathering, Minaj revealed a vaccination requirement made her ultimately fall back.
“Love u babe. I was prepping for vmas then i shot a video & guess who got COVID? Do u know what it is not to be able to kiss or hold your tiny baby for over a week? A baby who is only used to his mama? “get vaccinated” Drake had just told me he got covid w|THE VACCINE tho so chile … I had the exact same symptoms as ppl with the damn vaccine … They want you to get vaccinated for the Met. if I get vaccinated it won’t for the Met. It’ll be once I feel I’ve done enough research. I’m working on that now. In the meantime my loves, be safe. Wear the mask with 2 strings that grips your head & face. Not that loose one”
Prior to the Internet fully reacting to Nicki’s tweets, she clarified her stance. Minaj also admitted she would most likely eventually get the vaccination in an effort to tour and perform.
“Who cares what blogs gon do? Y’all always worried about blogs. This my real fkn life. They can choke … My cousin in Trinidad won’t get the vaccine cuz his friend got it & became impotent. His testicles became swollen. His friend was weeks away from getting married, now the girl called off the wedding. So just pray on it & make sure you’re comfortable with ur decision, not bullied … A lot of countries won’t let ppl work w/o the vaccine. I’d def recommend they get the vaccine. They have to feed their families. I’m sure I’ll b vaccinated as well cuz I have to go on tour, etc.”

“You have been tweeting about me for an hour. You not #Tide yet? Mad I’m my own person? Mad the internet can’t scare me away? It’s always someone who looks like you. Polls are very much a part of research. Real experiences, Open dialogue, etc. Go put on your red nose clown tingz.”

Over the summer, Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino released a statement about their policy. He cited the recent Lollapalooza festival, and as of October the company will require employees to get vaxxed up.
“We believe this is a great model, and we have already implemented this successfully at many major shows, including Lollapalooza. We know people are eager to return to live events, and we hope these measures encourage even more people to get vaccinated. That is the number one thing anyone can do to take care of those around them, and we are encouraging as many shows as possible to adopt this model. Our business and our industry is about uniting people, and vaccines are one of the greatest tools for making sure that everyone can continue to enjoy live music together. We’ve gone through a lot this past year, and it’s remarkable to see how far we’ve come.”
