NBA YoungBoy said he desires to become a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. YoungBoy said he met Mormon missionaries when he needed “help very badly” and “needed a friend.”
Louisiana rapper NBA YoungBoy said he is considering becoming a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, also known as Mormons or LDS. The rapper candidly spoke about his potential baptism during his cover interview with Billboard.
He discussed changing his ways, turning over a new leaf in his life, and his desire to become a Morman.
“I wanted help very badly,” he said in the interview. “ I needed a friend. And it hit me. It was just cool to see someone with a different mindset that had nothing to do with business or money, just these wonderful souls.”
“Stay Prayed Up”
Becoming a member of the LDS Church, YoungBoy will have to commit and give up on things like smoking weed, drinking coffee, misusing prescription drugs, and drinking alcohol. He will also have to stay more committed to his new wife, Jazlyn Mychelle.
However, people continue to compare him to Nick Cannon, who has 11 children from different women.
“You can’t be on top forever, you know, it’s always going to be another artist, but it will never be another YoungBoy,” he said.
While there’s no specific date to join LDS, YoungBoy does want to get baptized after his 14-month house arrest ends and wants to make sure his “heart is in the right space.”
“We got to stay prayed up. I really want to move to Europe with my family once all this is put behind me, he said. “I’m stacking my money until then.”
