Megan Thee Stallion Makes High School Senior’s Super Bowl Dream Come True

Megan Thee Stallion’s Pete & Thomas Foundation teamed up with the Southern Black Girls and Women’s Consortium and Roc Nation to make the dream of an 18-year-old high school student, a reality.

In January 2023, Jemiah Swinney received a surprise phone call from Megan Thee Stallion congratulating her with the exciting news that she would be dancing in the NFL Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show with Rihanna. Jemiah was ecstatic and grateful for the opportunity to perform on one of the biggest stages in the world.

In August 2022, Jemiah made an on-camera declaration of her “Biggest Dream” during the kick-off of the Southern Black Girls’ inaugural “Joy is Our Journey” Dream Bus Tour in Atlanta.

At the time, Jemiah was performing as part of the “Joy is Our Journey” dance troupe and had no idea that her declaration would set in motion, changing her life forever.

The Southern Black Girls saw the footage of Jemiah’s dream and immediately reached out to Roc Nation and Megan’s Pete and Thomas Foundation, serving as the lead community partner for the “Joy is Our Journey” Dream Bus Tour. Together, they worked to make Jemiah’s dream come true.

The Southern Black Girls and their partners were determined to make Jemiah’s experience unforgettable, and they did just that.

They provided her with transportation, lodging, meals, and all the necessary resources to prepare for her performance. Additionally, Jemiah was able to participate in exclusive rehearsals with Rihanna and her team.
