Halle Bailey recently shared a first look at her Princess Ariel look-alike doll ahead of the release of The Little Mermaid. The new doll is a mini replica of herself, including the mole above her left eyebrow and more.
Actress Halle Bailey took to her Instagram to unveil the newest Little Mermaid doll, inspired by her character Princess Ariel. The all-new doll is a replica of herself despite the racist backlash received when it was first announced.
“I am literally choking up because this means so much to me,” she gushed. “And to have one that looks like me that’s my favorite Disney is very surreal. The little girl in me is pinching myself right now. I have my own Little Mermaid, Ariel doll, and I can’t believe how much she captures my version of this iconic character. Going to go cry now.”
The Little Mermaid fans will embark on a new marine adventure with Ariel on May 26 when it hits theaters.
