Eamonn Walker Reunites With ‘Chicago Fire’ Co-Star After Exit

Eamonn Walker Reunites With ‘Chicago Fire’ Co-Star After Exit

Eamonn Walker exited Chicago Fire after 12 seasons, but that isn’t stopping him from still seeing his former co-stars. The actor recently reunited with Hanako Greensmith, who portrays Ambulance 61 PIC Violet Mikami. Via Screen Rant, she shared a photo of Walker to her Instagram Stories, alongside a heart emoji and face holding back tears.

The cast of Chicago Fire have certainly grown close over the years, so it’s never surprising when they hang out together outside of the series. However, given the fact that filming has started on Season 13 and Walker is no longer a series regular, you can’t but think what could be happening. While Walker did leave the series, there are still possibilities of him returning in a recurring or guest starring role. So it is entirely possible he could be on set, even if he is in street clothes. Or he just wanted to visit his Chicago Fire family.

Walker is the latest actor to depart from Chicago Fire. Alberto Rosende exited as Blake Gallo in the Season 12 premiere, while Kara Killmer wrapped up her story as Sylvie Brett in the middle of the season. It’s nothing new for the NBC drama, which has seen more than a few departures over the years, but it’s never easy. As for who will be replacing Walker and Boden, Dermot Mulroney is joining Chicago Fire as fire chief Dom Pascal from Miami, but he actually started his career in the CFD.

Nothing has been confirmed about Eamonn Walker’s involvement with Chicago Fire for Season 13, but assuming Hanako Greensmith’s photo was taken in Chicago, that could be good news. It will be hard to watch the show without Boden leading 51, but even if he briefly pops his head into the firehouse, that would be better than nothing. At the very least, it seems like Walker is still staying in touch with his former co-stars, and as long as that continues, it would be better than nothing.

Fans will just have to tune into the new season of Chicago Fire premieres on Wednesday, Sept. 25 at 9 p.m. ET on NBC to see if Walker makes a return. There will still be much to look forward to, regardless, including a bombshell secret involving Severide’s family.
