A new rumor is circulating about a possible collaboration project between Drake and Lil Baby. DJ Black Coffee shared in a new interview that the two rap stars may have a joint album in the works.
Soulistic Music founder, DJ Black Coffee hinted in a new interview on Podcast and Chill with Mac G, that rap superstars Drake and Lil Baby could release a joint album in the future.
Toward the end of the interview, DJ Black Coffee told a brief story about how he met with Kevin “Coach K” Lee, the co-owner of Atlanta rap label Quality Control Music.
“He (Lee) had said to me that Lil Baby and Drake are making an album,” DJ Black Coffee said.
Drake, who recently announced his upcoming tour, has not publicly spoken about or issued statements on the possible joint album, nor has Lil Baby, who scored his third No.1 album with It’s Only Me. The two superstar artists have worked together on several tracks, including 2018’s “Yes Indeed” and DJ Khaled’s “Staying Alive” in 2022.
In addition, the rumor comes after Drake hinted at retirement in an interview with Atlanta rapper and friend Lil Yachty. If the album happens, Drake will have a third joint project with an Atlanta rapper.
In 2015, Drake dropped What A Time To Be Alive with Future and Her Loss with 21 Savage in 2022, which featured a release party that included strippers and Chanel Bags.
