Getting To The Bag

In college, The “Good Love” rapper studied fashion merchandising with the initial ambitions of being a designer after graduating.  JT initially held regular jobs, including working at Whole Foods and Burger King to make ends meet, and was also homeless–having to sleep at a friend’s place at 21 years old.

The City Girl shared the allure of scamming or running, which resulted in her arrest. She also spoke about how she increased her income aside from her regular 9-5 positions.

“I was going to college because I was a smart girl, but I wanted to move faster, so I started making money,” the City Girl states. “I was making like $20,000 and some credit in one run.”

At the same time, she was indicted on fraud charges as the music she created with Yung Miami began to gain traction. Friends from her neighborhood would call her in jail to inform her how successful her music was becoming.

Painted Narratives + Boyfriend Lil Uzi

JT had nice things to say when the subject pivoted to her relationship with Lil Uzi.

“I’m so lucky and fortunate to have somebody like him because he’s so inspiring. When I see him in his bag, I’m like ‘I gotta get in my bag”.

Additionally, The Miami rapper didn’t hold back on how the internet paints her as a volatile character.

“The Internet has painted me as this angry, Black girl.” JT said. That really bothers me because you don’t even know me. I never went at anyone unprovoked.”

JT & Uzi Get Matching Tattoos

Lil Uzi Vert and City Girls’ JT made their relationship permanently official following their mini-split by showing off their newly-inked tattoos.
