HBCU’s Face Bomb Threats On First Day Of Black History Month
According to CNN, the list of schools that received bomb threats includes Copping State University, Mississippi Valley State University, Tougaloo University, Morgan State University, Alcorn State University, Fort Valley State University, Jackson State University, University of the District Of Columbia, Spelman College and Edward Waters University.
There has been no word of suspects yet. Several schools took to social media to shut down campuses for the day and advised that they would hold remote classes as emergency personnel investigated the situation.
President Biden’s press secretary, Jen Psaki, said that the President has been briefed on the matter and that the threats were “disturbing.”
The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) and the Howard University Department of Police have issued an 'ALL CLEAR' in the investigation of a bomb threat made this morning at approximately 2:55 a.m. The Shelter-In-Place directive has been lifted.
