Australian songwriter JXN has followed up his debut single Solitude with a cross-waters collab with New York rapper A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie – who delivers his verse as sleekly and stunningly as always – on Red Lights.
A lavish, star-making single for JXN, Red Lights came about when A Boogie was touring in Australia earlier this year for Laneway Festival.
“I looked him up, watched a couple of his videos and they were fire. I later found out we were on the same label, so I told them to set it up; we had to do something together,” said A Boogie on the collaboration.
Red Lights, with its experimental tenor and genre less style, is sure to send JXN’s message loud and clear. It’s the sound of hope, happiness and artistic power. And most of all, it’s the sound of a bright new star signalling his arrival to Australia (and the world).
