The Notorious B.I.G.’s estate and Air Jordan brand have teamed up to make the limited edition “Christopher Wallace Air Jordan XIII,” which will have 23 pairs. The shoes are in stock until Feb. 3.
Air Jordan and The Notorious B.I.G.’s estate released a limited edition sneaker dedicated to the late rap legend. The “Christopher Wallace Air Jordan XIII” collection was made available on Jan. 23 and will be in stock until Feb. 3 with 23 pairs available.
The 23 pairs represent 2023, which the Jordan brand calls the “Jordan Year,” and honors the 50th anniversary of the creation of hip-hop.
Each pair sold will be held via auction to benefit the Christopher Wallace Memorial Foundation, which aims to empower inner-city youth through music, sponsorships, and mentorships. After his death, Biggie was honored in many ways, which shocked rap fans in 1997. Last November, Biggie was also on the cover of a limited edition Deadpool comic book.
Rappers x Sneaker Collabs
Air Jordan recently collaborated with Houston rapper Travis Scott for his Black Phantom sneakers.
Late rap icon Tupac Shakur also had a sneaker collection dedicated to him by FILA, and rap superstar Nicki Minaj has her own Jordans that are rumored to drop, but nothing has been confirmed at this time.
