SZA called out The White House, and The White House responded
Joining Sabrina Carpenter and dozens of other artists, on Thursday SZA called out The White House for using her music in an pro-ICE advertisement. In a post on X, the singer wrote: “White House rage baiting artists for free promo is PEAK DARK ..inhumanity +shock and aw tactics ..Evil n Boring đ«©.” Her manager, TDE’s Punch, also slammed the White House, writing, “Trying to provoke artist to respond in order to help spread propaganda and political agendas is nasty business. Knock it off.”
Hours later, The White House responded to SZA with their own statement: “Thank you, SZA, for drawing even more attention to the tremendous work Americaâs ICE officers are doing by arresting dangerous criminal illegal aliens in American communities.”
Beyoncé will co-chair the 2026 Met Gala
BeyoncĂ© is making her return to the Met Gala red carpet. The superstar was announced as a co-chair of the event’s 2026 event, which means it will be her first appearance at the gala in a decade. She will join Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and Anna Wintour as co-chairs. BeyoncĂ©’s last Met Gala appearance was in 2016. Next year’s Met Gala theme is: “Costume Art.” The event will be held Monday, May 4.
